Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Martin J. Sikorski

Dr. Martin J. Sikorski was born in Chicago and attended St. Rita High School. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, he received his B.S. and his Doctor of Optometry cum laude from Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in 1966. After graduation he was awarded a fellowship to serve as director of an ICO satellite clinic, located in the Robert McCormick Boys’ club in Chicago and involving treatment of pediatric patients.

Dr. Sikorski has practiced in Glen Ellyn since 1967. Dr. Martin was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa and Tomb and Key honor fraternities while in school. He is currently a member of the West Suburban Optometric Society (WSOS), the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA).  He has served as President of both the WSOS and IOA as well as the United Eye Care Providers (UECP). He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Illinois College of Optometry and in 1994 he was recognized as Optometrist of the Year in Illinois and was also president of the ICO Alumni Council.

Dr. Sikorski and his wife Joanne have resided in the Glen Ellyn area since 1967. They have enjoyed watching their five children, Gail, Dr. Cheryl, Martin, Lisa, and Amy develop families and careers of their own. They now have 10 grandchildren to enjoy.

Dr. Cheryl Sikorski Meyers

Dr. Cheryl S. Meyers was born in Glen Ellyn and attended Glenbard West High School. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Iowa and she received her doctorate degree cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry. She has been in practice here at the Glen Ellyn Vision Center since her graduation in 1994. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key Honor Fraternities as well as the Illinois Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She is a former member of COVD, which is a professional organization oriented toward pediatrics & vision therapy.

Dr. Jeffrey D. Meyers

Dr. Jeffrey D. Meyers was born in Long Prairie Minnesota where he graduated from Long Prairie High School. He earned his BA during his undergraduate studies at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and received his doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1995. Dr. Meyers practices at both locations where he represents the United Eye Care Providers (UECP) and is an associate of The Laser Network. He is a member of the West Suburban Optometric Society, Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Drs. Jeff and Cheryl reside in Batavia, Illinois with their three children Andrew, Jack, and Katharine.
